Speaking of interesting reports on copyright, the Australian Productivity Commission report is out now too. There’s a great opinion piece co-authored by CC Australia’s Nic Suzor on some of the implications, including the recommendation that Australia should introduce Fair Use.
New guidance for licensing images and databases
Two new guidance notes have been released under the NZ Govt Open Access Licensing framework to help those in the public sector working through the practicalities of licensing images and databases.

There’s heaps of cool stuff on data.govt.nz as well, including open data resources, community engagement info, and recent case studies. Great to see this valuable info has moved from ict.govt.nz to its new home.
