Christchurch housing data released

Christchurch City Council has released its first public API: property sales data available free of charge. It’s not fully open data yet but this is a great first step.

CC around the world

Carnegie Hall has released its performance history as open data under CC0. A study in the US has shown that ‘fair use’ industries make up one sixth of its economy. Great interview with Isla Haddow-Flood on the Wiki Loves Women and Wiki Loves Africa projects. Elsevier has acquired Bepress and a lot of people are not happy.
