Building an Equitable Internet
We love the digital world!
The internet and other digital technologies have opened up a whole world for art, friendship, work — new ways to be creative and to share knowledge.
But the internet is made by people and people aren’t perfect. Who gets to decide what the rules are on the internet? Who gets to financially benefit from things like data?
We want an internet where benefits go to everyone — and which is safe for everyone. To get there, we work to educate people so that we can all understand the risks and benefits.
We also advocate for widespread participation in government consultations about how the internet should work from teachers, librarians, museum workers — the everyday professionals who help make our communities great places to live.
